Javier ran away from the tiny border town of San Luis Rio Colorado when he was a teenager and raised himself in the streets of Tijuana, as an underground fighter for a cartel. Years later, Javier, now known in the ring as El Callejero, is faced with a dilemma: throw the next fight or face the consequences of a gambling debt owed to the cartel. When things go awry, he’s forced out of the fight game and Tijuana for good. Javier returns home lost and broken. With nowhere else to turn, he tries to build a new life by forging a relationship with his father, his own wayward teenage son, and his son’s mother; all of whom he abandoned a decade earlier.
